Periodically we’ll feature one of our vendors here to let our readers know about some great people who can help you plan the perfect wedding.
As a gay-owned venue, Presqu’Isle embraces traditions both old and new, and celebrates the fact that Virginia really is for ALL lovers. Situated on 130 private acres, just 60 miles from Washington D.C., Presqu’Isle is a gracious 19th-century country estate with a variety of indoor and outdoor event settings, suitable for up to 300 guests.
True 19th-century splendor abounds in the manor house at Presqu’Isle. Thirteen foot ceilings, intricate plaster work, carved mantles and leaded-glass fan lights are just a few of the original architectural details.
In the spacious, classically appointed guest chambers – with a private marble bath invoking the understated elegance of a turn-of-the-century hotel–you can relax and prepare for your special day in peace and comfort. The suite is perfectly situated to make a grand entrance down Presqu’Isle’s graceful winding staircase.
At the end of your event, there’s no need to travel further than up the stairs to a queen-size canopy bed, outfitted in fine linens.
Presqu’Isle’s lawn and gardens afford sweeping views of the Piedmont countryside, while an adjacent grove of trees overlooks the pond and terrace.
Bordered by a boxwood and lavender hedge and limelight hydrangea trees, our terrace is equally suited to traditional styling or a modern twist and can accommodate a 60×40 tent.
With a focus on flexibility, we are committed to helping our couples plan weddings as unique as their relationships. We look forward to helping you celebrate your special day and to showing you how Presqu’Isle’s exemplary service and classic elegance will make your affair truly unforgettable.
