More About the Vendor:
As a certified Life-Cycle Celebrant* and Universal Brotherhood Movement (non-denominational) Minister, I'll help create your special ceremony from your own personal story. Together we will create your one-of-a-kind wedding to make your day a wonderful memory that will last a lifetime for you and your witnesses.
Trained as a librarian and storyteller who loves doing research, rituals, and writing, as your celebrant I will craft your perfect ceremony and choreograph each step along the way with beauty and respect. I offer a free person to person consultation to discuss ideas. Let's see what thoughts you have, how you have dreamed your perfect ceremony. We'll talk about your hopes, desires, and any plans you have, and make those dreams a reality. No ideas? That's ok. We'll find them together.
If we book, I will send you a questionnaire to help begin the process. Through phone calls and emails, I will send you every step along the way. If you like it, we keep it. If not, we change it. This is your special day. Your wedding, your way. Changes may be made up until the last minute.
Do you want a big wedding with hundreds of friends and family attending? Is there a lot of diversity? You want to make sure no one is left out? You wish to honor multiple cultures? That's beautiful. We can do that. Would you like others to take part in the actual ceremony? We can do that too.
Have you been together a long time and just want something simple? Only a few special guests? Did you just decide last night that you want to get married next week? Is there a rush because one (or both) of you is in the armed services? Not a problem.
As a long standing activist for human rights, I watched a movement being born all over the country, but especially prominent in my home city of Philadelphia. Our society has come a long way since that July 4,1965. States are beginning to recognize the need for all citizens to have basic human rights and to legitimize the unions between same sex couples through the right to legally marry. This is a movement that is spreading globally and governments are taking another look at their marriage laws. There is still much work to be done and I applaud those who worked bravely and tirelessly over the years to make it happen. It never should have been an issue. When Equality became the law in Pennsylvania, you probably heard me all across the state. As of this writing, we are 37 states strong.
It is an honor and a privilege to serve the LGBT community.
I can also help to create a personal ceremony for any life-changing event: adoption, new home, new job, promotion, retirement, birthdays, memorials, funerals. Your life, your ceremony, your way.
