More About the Vendor:
LaurieAnn Lepoff of Steps On Toes has been teaching dance since 1980. During the last three plus decades, the majority of her students have been couples of all gender combinations, learning to dance for their Bay Area weddings or commitment ceremonies. It's always a special treat to work with same sex couples.
Here's how it works:
All lessons are private. The first includes an Explorer Session, a coaching session where LaurieAnn identifies your goals, how you learn, what's worked or not worked for you in the past, what you're afraid of or don't want to happen, and anything else she might learn from you that will help tailor the lessons to fit you exactly.
Students bring any music they are considering for their first dance. LaurieAnn identifies the dances that would work to their music and they choose the dance that they like the best. Or, if they are not attached to any particular song, they can choose a dance that fits their personality and their relationship and find a song later.
You can also work with a father/daughter dance, mother/son, or any such combinations you'd like to include in your San Francisco wedding ceremony.
A wide variety of partner dances are offered, including social ballroom, various types of swing, and salsa.
Steps On Toes specializes in working with people who think they can't learn to dance, haven't been able to learn in other dance classes, or who think they'll never learn to enjoy it.
LaurieAnn has never had a student she could not teach and all of them have been thrilled with their first dance!
LaurieAnn has a background in couples counseling and mediations. She has also taught self defense classes to people with physical disabilities. This helps her to work with people who have psychological and physical blocks to learning dance. It also helps her know how to teach couples to practice together and still want to get married after they learn to dance.
She has a gentle teaching style, a great sense of humor, and makes her classes fun for everyone.
