I am so proud to be a New Yorker AND a wedding officiant who also happens to be a lesbian!I am a Certified Celebrant from The Celebrant Institute, where I took an 8-month course in the creation of wedding ceremonies. I've been an officiant since 2008. I've been doing it part-time since then, but in 2012 creating wedding ceremonies will become my full-time occupation. I'm an experienced New York City wedding officiant and have worked with many variety of couples over the years. My couples include interfaith, non-religious, same sex and heterosexual couples. Half of the couples are from out of state, including many from all around the world (from countries including Australia, England, Scotland, France, Ireland, Italy and many more). Your wedding ceremony should be reflective of who you are, as a couple and as individuals. It is my job to get to know you, so that I can create a ceremony that reflects YOU. Here's how it works. If you decide to hire me, I will send a questionnaire for each person to complete. The questions include thoughts that you may have about ceremony content, how you met, what you love about each other, and details of the event itself. We can also meet in person or talk via phone or skype. Once all the information is gathered, I will write the ceremony, then send it to you for review. You can make as many changes or suggestions as you like. I will work on it until it is perfect and exactly what you desire. I am licensed to officiate in New York City. I will also officiate in the New York Tri-state area, and the Berkshires, Massachusetts, where I have a second home. I also perform vow renewals and anniversary celebrations.
