I consider it a great honor to have participated in such journeys with hundreds of couples over the past 20 years. My goal is to help you create whatever sort of ceremony will be most meaningful to you and to the community with whom you share your special day - whether a small group of friends or a large gathering of extended family, co-workers, and friends, or even perhaps a private ceremony for just the two of you. Your ceremony may be simple or involve elaborate rituals. It may be traditional or creative, funny, religious or spiritual, or a mix of all of these things. More than simply putting together readings and vows, creating a ceremony engages you in considering what matters most about your relationship and how you want to share that with each other and your gathering. As a lesbian and an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister, I have 20 years experience designing and conducting a wide variety of weddings and services of union in many different settings. Whether you are from the same or different religious traditions - or have no particular spiritual connection - we can find unique and meaningful ways to celebrate your union. If children are involved, we can create special roles for them, so they feel included in your special day. As you proceed toward your special celebration of the ancient and universal rite of marriage, I would be honored to walk with you as your guide and companion on the journey.
