Gay Friendly: Gay Wedding Officiants in Chicago, IL, USA
Finally, I can proudly say Illinois has chosen to be on the "right side of history" by turning away from the old, dogmatic ways and starting anew with an open, accepting heart toward ALL mankind no matter their personal choices in regards to marriage equality. After the bill's passing, I reached out to all the loving couples I had civilly united congratulating them for now being able to marry. One couple in particular pictured on the right, a gorgeous lesbian couple very near and dear to my heart pleasantly surprised me with this response:
"We were just talking about you! We are in tears. It is because of amazing people like you that this day has come. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. We are so grateful for your love, support and hard work. We think about you all the time--sorry that we didn't reach out sooner. So much has happened since June...Please know that you are always in our heart. Things will slow down for us around Thanksgiving and we will be spending a quiet holiday here. We would love to meet you for coffee if you are available. And...my review for our wedding is still on my laptop--here is the kick in the pants to go ahead and post it on all the wedding sites. Again, we thank you so very much...Sending big hugs and kisses! ~ Sabrina and Romaine"
"It's hard to put into words how grateful we are to have found Rev. Eva. She has become more than just our wedding officiant, we now consider her a dear friend.
Rev. Eva is radiant. In the first few minutes of meeting her, we knew that she would marry us. It was a connection, an understanding, a common appreciation for the magnitude and responsibility of unconditional love. She stitched together a draft ceremony that brought us to tears--it was as if she read our inmost thoughts and intentions.
On the day of our wedding, Rev. Eva was there comforting us with her gentle presence. She was professional, yet warm. We didn't have to worry about anything because we knew that she would go above and beyond to make sure that everything went smoothly.
After our wedding, she sent a beautiful packet which included our vows and her lovely words. We will always look back at our wedding day and remember Rev. Eva with a smile. Besides choosing each other, choosing Rev. Eva to officiate our wedding was one of the best decisions that we have ever made."
