Caprice Strings provides elegant wedding entertainment, including beautiful strings (violin, viola, and cello) blended into a trio ensemble. Caprice Strings has more than twenty years of experience, and we have an extensive repertoire including baroque, classical and contemporary works - from Bach to Mozart to Gershwin and The Beatles.Caprice Strings has alo performed at a wide variety of events. We've been featured at the daily luncheon in the Garden Room of the U.S. Grant Hotel, appeared at the historic Villa Montezuma, performed at exclusive Nordstrom events, and have even played for special occasions like the Challenger reception for Sail America, and the inaugural cruise of the Royal Viking Sun. Caprice Strings has performed for weddings and receptions in a broad range of styles and settings, from formal catholic masses to outdoor ceremonies at Balboa Park. We've performed at almost every major hotel in the San Diego area. We can provide music for preludes, ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, cocktails, receptions, or celebration breakfasts. We tailor our performances completely to our client's wishes. We can also add additional musicians (including trumpets, vocalists, flutists, or extra strings) to our core group as needed. Francesca Savage will work with you over the phone or by email with not only your music needs, but the rest of your event as well. We've done literally thousands of weddings and other occasions, ranging from traditional to the most unusual and original. We performed at our first gay wedding back in 1981, and are thrilled to work with gay and lesbian couples. In addition, Francesca is happy to share the insider tips she has picked up on the way. When choosing your music, we'll be as flexible as possible to give you exactly the group you are looking for. We rarely have requests that we can't meet. If there's a song you want that is not in our current repertoire, we will try and arrange most pieces for the ensemble for a nominal charge. If you don't see a song you really want performed on our song lists, please check with Francesca - we might have it in our extended collection, or be able to create a special arrangement just for your wedding.
