We founded the Amaryllis Ensemble after completing our studies at the Manhattan School of Music, and we sepcialize unique, customized classical music for events in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. We're not agents; we are musicians who will be playing at your wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception.Our personal connection will help you create that intimate, elegant, and joyous atmosphere that you desire. The Amaryllis Ensemble can help you put together a fairy tale ceremony with absolutely beautiful music. We offer a variety of mixed ensembles including the violin, viola, cello, flute and occasionally trumpet. We can play a wide range of classical works from Bach to Vivaldi, and also can offer Gershwin to Broadway. The Amaryllis Ensemble was originally founded in 1987, and provides our clients with elegant classical music for wedding ceremonies, receptions, cocktail parties, and corporate events. We're based in both Northern New Jersey and central Connecticut. Currently, we perform most of our 80+ yearly engagements occur in northern, western, and central New Jersey, the Jersey Shore, Western Connecticut and the New Haven area, Eastern Connecticut and the Connecticut River Valley, New York City, and the Hudson Valley. Our core group is a string trio composed of violin, viola and cello. We often augment this combination with a second violin, flute, vocalist and/or trumpet. Each affair where we perform is treated as a unique event. We work one on one with you and your partner, and carefully prepare the music to your specifications. All our members are graduates of major conservatories of music and are at the highest professional level. We are also tenured, full-time members of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, the New Haven Symphony, the Eastern Connecticut Symphony, and the Hudson Valley Philharmonic. Our members have also performed with numerous professional orchestras throughout the tri-state area, and have active teaching careers.
